Obituario

Robert Victor Taylor, known as Bob, was born on July 10, 1958, in Vermillion County, Indiana, and passed away on October 16, 2024, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Bob was a devoted husband to Leona Marie Taylor and cherished his time surrounded by family, which he loved above all else.

A proud veteran, Bob served as a medic in the Army, where his intelligence and caring nature shone brightly. He was a wealth of information and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others, making each conversation feel significant. Bob was known for his kindness, humor, and the warmth he brought to those around him, always making friends and family feel at home in his presence.

Bob had a passion for nature and animals, often finding joy in the great outdoors. He loved watching western shows, particularly "Gunsmoke," and was an avid sports fan, supporting his favorite teams in football, baseball, and basketball. He took great pleasure in country music, often listening to it for hours on end.

Among his favorite foods were his beloved homemade potato soup and pineapple upside-down cake, which he appreciated during family gatherings. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Leona, his children—Renata (and her children, Alex and Katina), April (and her husband Steve, with their children Destiny and Katelyn), Billy (and his wife Jammie, with their children Haley and Braxton), Marc (and his wife Miranda)—as well as his sisters, Roberta and Linda.

Bob's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a deep connection to family. His presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
