Obituary

Robert “Rob” Thomas Mauro, 61, of Marshall, passed away on March 30, 2025 at his home in Marshall, MI. He was born on October 9, 1963 to Louis "Lou" and Norberta (Lejprice) Mauro in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA with a bachelor’s degree. On October 19, 2013 he married Stephanie Pennock in Jackson, MI. He was previously married to MaryBeth.

Rob was a real family man. He loved his girls and was a wonderful father to his three daughters: Chelsea, Gracelyn, and Annabel. He would take them to Daddy Daughter dances, accompany them on many sporting events from cheerleading to field hockey and was always just a phone call away, even if he didn’t answer right away, forever the jokester. Since moving to Marshall with his wife, Stephanie, he really enjoyed the Marshall area. Rob was also a movie buff and some of his favorite movies were Jaws and Predator. “Gonna need a bigger boat” or “Get to the chopper!” Being from Pittsburgh, Rob was a loyal Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan. He enjoyed watching kids play sports and especially enjoyed watching the Little League World Series. He loved to travel, whether for work or pleasure. A sense of humor was important to Rob, life was too short not to laugh.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; daughters, Chelsea (David) Sexauer, Gracelyn Mauro, Annabel Mauro; father, Louis “Lou” Mauro; sister, Valerie (Carl) Seelnacht and a grandson that will be born in September. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Forever Uncle Rob.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norberta Mauro.
