Was tennis coach at Trinity High School 2013-2014
Was a member of the Jaycees and mentored many young boys in the annual Soap Box Derby race.
While working for Old Dominion Truck Lines in the 60’s, he studied electronics at night school which allowed him to start his own business Bob’s Tv Sales and Service in 1968, expanding his business to include appliances and carpets in the 1970s& 1980’s. His white TV van with “Here comes Bob” emblazoned across the front was a familiar sight in High Point for many years. In 1981, Bob decided to obtain his residential/commercial Builder’s License which allowed him to build Millbourne Place subdivision in Oakview and Emerywood Park office complex on the corner of West Lexington and Westchester Drive. After the death of his beloved wife Joanne in 2016, he named on of these buildings the “ Joanne” building in her honor.
