Robert Lee Roderick, known affectionately as Bob, was born on March 1, 1961, in Allen Park, Michigan, and passed away on October 31, 2024, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was the beloved son of George Roderick Sr. and Linda Dalrymple.
Bob was a skilled mechanic and a dedicated construction worker, known throughout Ypsilanti as the go-to guy who could fix anything, whether it was a house or a car. He had a passion for the outdoors, often spending his time fishing with his grand daughter Leah or hunting with his sister Vickey and husband Roger, and cherished the simple pleasure of grabbing a beer and heading to his favorite fishing hole or relaxing watching his all time favorite movie Hellboy. He resided with daughter Susanne (and grandchildren) at his time of death and went peacefully at home after a long fight with Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
He is survived by his three children, Susanne Roderick, Nicole Stemmerich, and Robert Roderick Jr., as well as his loving grandchildren: Mickey, Ashton, Leah, Allen, Cierra, Aubrey, Aiden, Austin, Joe, Mason, and Jax. Bob was also a caring brother to Vickey (Roger) Kelly, Lisa (Art) Huffman, George Roderick Jr., Patricia (Tom) Scott, and Dawn Sova.
Bob was a long time partner to Gail Raney, and together they created a life filled with love and laughter. He often expressed his outlook on life with the motto, "I’m gonna be me til the day I die," a testament to his unwavering solitude. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be missed dearly
I will be planning this soon. I will let everyone know detail asap
