Robert D Ottone, lovingly known as Bob or Papa Bob, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born on September 4, 1953, in Providence, RI, and most recently resided in Clearwater, FL.
Bob was a man of many passions. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, riding his Harley, and creating wood projects. He took pleasure in savoring Italian cuisine, Patty's famous chicken, Myra's meatballs, and Dan's summer picnics.
Above all, Bob cherished his family, children, and grandchildren. Two of his proudest accomplishments were raising his son Daniel and reuniting with his son Bobby after 52 years of separation. In the past year and a half, he had the joy of meeting his three grandchildren for the first time.
Bob's life partner was Patricia, who stood by his side throughout their journey. They shared a deep love and companionship that brought them much happiness.
Survived by his sons Robert Ottone and Daniel Ottone, Bob leaves a lasting legacy. He was a proud grandfather to Anthony, Isabella, Gianna, Lacy, and Owen Ottone and a step-grandfather to Logan and Milani Sousa.
Bob's defining personality traits included his perfectionism, strong opinions, intelligence, humor, creativity, and kind heart. Known for his loyalty and big heart, he was always there to lend a helping hand and provided insightful solutions to others' problems.
Bob held steadfast to his Catholic faith, finding strength and solace in his spiritual beliefs.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring comfort to those he touched.
