Leaving a rich legacy of love and friendship as a husband, father grandfather and brother is Bob Robillard who died on May 5, 2024, age 71, in peace, at home surrounded by his family. We give thanks to paramedic palliative care team, the palliative doctor and nurses and funeral home personnel who were all so kind, compassionate and gentle to all of us that day and keeping Bob’s wish to die a natural death, we are still in awe. We really think they had angel wings under their jackets!

Bob was blessed to have found joy in fishing, his lake cabin and above all his family. His daughter Yvonne and son Paul. His eight grandchildren Joseph Julianna Julius John Joshua DeAngelo, Alyssa and Lianna and especially the love of his life for 57 years, his devoted wife, Theresa who supported and loved him.

Many a story could be told by his sisters Susan (Jim) Linda and Gail (Andy) As well as nephews Ryan (Veronica) and Cameron (Hannah)

True, things were not always easy and at times health was challenging but Bob remained as a magnet of guidance and humour to those he met along the way. His several adult “adopted children” came to pay tribute to him his last day.

For the past 10 years Bob battled cancer which spread to 5 areas. Despite the hospitalizations, the medication treatments, x-rays, the emergency ambulances, several surgery, Bob never lost sense of hope, he never complained and was always grateful and polite to those who provided the medical care. Many a doctor has given Bob a hug and a laugh.

We never know the true domino effect, the influence of our life until it’s over. I’m sure the dominoes will continue to roll in the shadow of Bob as he journeys to the blessed heavenly resting place.
