Robert “Bob” Smith was born on January 16, 1944. He left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on March 9, 2023. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Dora Mae and RB Smith, also by his niece Gina Marie Kowis, brother in law RL Sonny Johnson. He is survived by sister Nell Thornton, husband Doyle Thornton, and sister Virgina Hooper, niece Lavita Wise, husband James Lewis, nephew Richard Kowis, niece Terri Kirby, husband Howard Kirby, and niece Karan Lee Barrera. Also many great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many special friends and extended family.
Bob worked for Houston Lighting and Power until his retirement. The majority of his free time was spent Rodeoing with his dear friends. This past year he was inducted into South Central Texas Rodeo Ring of Honor for his great achievements as a cowboy. Bob never missed an Astros game or an opportunity to go hunting or fishing with his buddies.
We will celebrate every moment we shared with him and he will live on in all who loved him.
We'll plant real trees for you in Robert “Bob”'s memory and display your contribution forever.
