Robert Alan Young, known to many as Tazz, passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 45. He was born on October 2, 1978, in San Antonio, Texas, where he also resided until his passing.
Robert had a passion for tattooing and boxing, spending much of his time honing his skills and staying physically fit. He especially enjoyed creating art on people's skin and engaging in intense workouts. When it came to food, Robert had a particular fondness for steak and broccoli.
In his free time, Robert loved listening to his favorite bands and musical artists, including Darius Rucker, AC/DC, and Josh Turner. He was also an avid fan of the TV show "Wynonna Earp" and had a strong appreciation for the sport of boxing.
Known for his prowess in martial arts, Robert was a two-time Golden Glove boxer and held a black belt in taekwondo. He dedicated much of his life to studying Jiu-Jitsu. One of his proudest accomplishments was raising his son, Samuel Travis.
Although Robert faced challenges in his personal life, his love for his children always remained unwavering. He cherished them deeply, even if they were not present in his life. Robert's favorite place in the world was Honolulu, Hawaii, which held a special significance for him.
Robert will be remembered for his exceptional nature and his willingness to defend those who couldn't defend themselves. He impacted the lives of many, earning the respect and love of those who knew him. His wife, Jherie Bales-Young, his children, grandchildren, and extended family survive him.
In non-denominational faith, Robert believed in the motto, "It is what it is." Through his artistry, athleticism, and protective nature, Robert leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be sorely missed.
