Robert Chapin, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 66 surrounded by his sons and special friend Sandy Chapin. Born on January 5, 1957, in Stanton Michigan, and lived in Ionia Michigan for the greater part of his life, Robert was the son of John Chapin and Laura Chapin.

Robert is survived by wife Yasmin, his sister Cindy (Kirk) Hoisington, sister in law Kathy Chapin,step daughter Ja Quay (Yasmin)three sons, and seven grandchildren. His sons Seth (Angela) Chapin, Matthew(Wanita) Chapin, Jesse (Josie) Chapin and grandchildren Evan, Logan, Aubrey, Ian, Lily Ann, David, and Callen Chapin will miss his easy going nature.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Laura Chapin and Arthur Perkins, his brother Tony Chapin, sister Tracy Vlahas, and nephew Trevor Chapin.

Robert most notably worked at General Tire and Ventra witnessing both companies undergo multiple name changes over the years, adapting to the ever-changing demands of the industry.

Robert was known for his love of motorcycles and hotrods, marijuana, laid back nature, and kind soul.

Family will gather to honor Robert's memory and celebrate his life at a later date.
