Robby Lee Robinson, age 65, of Smiley, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2025. He was born in Cuero, Texas, on May 25, 1959. Robby was a stubborn and quiet man who worked hard all his life—as a truck driver, in the oilfield, and as a shade tree mechanic. He didn’t like taking pictures, but the few that exist will be treasured by those who loved him. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Bambi Rasmussen, Derik Robinson, and Misty Robinson; seven grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Candyce and Richard Guidry; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Robinson; sister, Billie Faye Padgett; parents, W.W. “Bill” and Edna Faye Robinson; nephew Joey, and niece Brittany. Robby will also be missed by his dog, Buddy, who was never far from his side. A graveside service will be held at Round Lake Cemetery on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2 p.m.
