Obituary

Rino was born in Bandoeng , Indonesia. Rino moved to the Netherlands from Indonesia in1955 when he was 8 . He was raised in the Hague. He went to the Hogere Technische school in The Hague and earned his engineering degree in 1970. He served in the Dutch army as a medic for 18 months before landing his first job as a Chemical engineer with the American based Lummus company. In 1974 he married Lucie-An. The couple was sent on assignment to Bloomfield, NJ. When the assignment was over Rino was invited to transfer to Lummus in America. They moved to Montclair where their three children were born. Rino left Lummus for the Engelhard Company and later he worked for the Davey McKee company. He returned to Lummus in 1991. In 1995 he accepted a position with the Glitch company and moved to the Houston area. In 1997 he started working for KBC which was later sold to the OSI software company. He worked in sales for OSI until his retirement in 2016.

Rino loved to travel and in his retirement he and his wife made some interesting trips. Among other places they went to Italy, France and Spain. They also visited the Florida Keys and last summer they went to his birth country: Indonesia.

Rino was a loving husband, a wonderful father and doting grandfather. He was quick to make friends and connect with people throughout his life. His family and friends will remember his empathy and engaging sense of humor. He was so much fun to be around, and always loved a good party. Even in difficult moments like this he would encourage us all to seize the day.

He will be greatly missed by Lucie-An his wife of more than fifty years and by his children, Marli and her spouse Jason, Frika and her spouse James, Jeff and his spouse Kaitlyn, the grandchildren: Joelle and Marguerite, Olivia, Payton and Wesley.
