Rico Jarek Smith, affectionately known as Rek, was born on April 13, 2000, in Atlanta, GA. He recently passed away on March 31, 2024, in his hometown of Atlanta.

Rico was a devoted father and loved nothing more than spending time with his son, Pharoah, and playing with kids in the family. He had a passion for music and enjoyed listening to it while working. Rico had a special place in his heart for the beach, finding solace and joy in its serene surroundings.

Basketball was Rico's favorite sport, and he could often be found cheering passionately for his favorite teams. When it came to food, Rico's love for nachos knew no bounds. He was known for his warm and welcoming nature, always making those around him feel loved and appreciated.

Professionally, Rico worked in management at Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits, and he took pride in his career achievements. However, his proudest accomplishment was being a father to his beloved son, Pharoah.

Rico leaves behind his son, Pharoah, as well as his parents, siblings, and numerous close family members. His loving and caring personality touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered for his infectious laughter and dance moves.

Rico Jarek Smith will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
