Family was his most precious thing, specifically his wife, kids and grandkids.
Rick Duane Domitrovich, loving husband to Linda of 57 years, Dad, Papa, Great Papa and friend to everyone, left us on March 19, 2025. Rick lived a full life surrounded by a very loving family and he is already missed tremendously.
Rick is survived by his wife, Linda, son, Chuck & Daughter In Law Corinne, daughter, Michelle & Son In Law Russ, Granddaughter Kayla (Jamie) Zerck, Grandson Trevor (Joey), Grandson Levi, Great Grandchildren Karsyn, Kamryn, Kellyn, Emberly, Ilya and Deakon.
Rick was born to August & Azaelea Domitrovich in Ione, WA on March 28, 1947. He grew up in Ione with one sister and three brothers. He graduated in 1966, married the love of his life in 1967 and they started their family soon after. Rick is preceded in death by his parents August & Azealea, and his brother Jim.
Rick worked for the Milwaukee Railroad from 1968-1978, he logged for a short time and then relocated his family to Idaho Falls and tried his hand at construction. He worked for a few local logging companies upon returning home and then decided to start his own logging business, which he ran from 1991-1998. In 1992 Rick became a Papa, this turned out to be the absolute highlight of his later years, first a Papa and then a Great Papa. He always said if he had known how much fun it was, he would have done it first.
In 1998 he was hired back to the railroad, until 2003 when he went to work as a miner to finish out his last years.
The family will hold a celebration of life on June 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at his long time friend, Monte Rice’s bar, The Triple Dog. This will be a potluck celebration to share stories and memories of Ricks life. Please know that this celebration will honor both Michelle and Russ’ Dads, who sadly passed 3 months apart. Please reach out to Michelle on Facebook for more information.
