Anything he cooked
Troy was always destined to be a fireman. While camping as teens, Troy commanded the fire pit. He would set anything on fire - safely. Many, many, many hours around the campfire were spent with him stoking up the coals so we could discover how hot the fire had to be to get a beer bottle to melt, and how long it would take. Troy always talked about becoming a fireman, and always shared his knowledge and skills of such, even at 16.
His son Dillion, daughter Taylor, and every dog who was lucky enough to be his.
Richard Troy, a loving father, dedicated firefighter and friend to all, passed away surrounded by love. He was the proud son of Gail and Dick Boyer and cherished brother to Matt and JoDee. A devoted dad to Dillon and Taylor, he filled their lives with warmth, laughter, and endless stories.
He found joy in simple things—cooking up something special in the kitchen, tending to his yard with care, and spending time with the animals he adored. His gift for conversation could brighten any room.
His kindness, his voice, and his unwavering love will be missed more than words can say.
Friends and Family are invited to meet at JoDee’s house for a celebration of life. The burial will be at Paradise Memorial Garden for family only.
