Richard Raymond Mayville, lovingly known as Rick and Dad, passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on August 6,1958, in Texas, and most recently resided in Eight Mile, Alabama.

Richard had a zest for life and enjoyed several hobbies including fishing, hunting, and bowling. He had a deep appreciation for music and could often be found listening to his favorite bands and musical artists such as Ozzy Osborne, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and Tom Petty.

Richard spent a significant part of his career at Ford Motor Company before retiring. However, his proudest accomplishments were his daughters, who brought immense joy to his life. He loved them dearly and cherished every moment spent with them.


Richard leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy. He is survived by his siblings Sue and Chris, his daughters Holly and Savannah along with his two grandsons, Nicholas and Jaxson. Preceded in life by his parents Allen and Margaret Mayville, his bothers Mike and Rory and his wife Lynn. His presence will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to have known him.
