Richard had a talent for soldering and creating jewelry pieces. He likes mining to find gems and learning about the jems he would find.
Richard always appreciated a good piece of meat. Steak grilled to perfection or baby back ribs smoked for hours. Nothing was better than his cabbage rolls and the million dollar salad he made at Christmas.
Richard loves animals and tried to give the animals every they needed. From dogs to several types of birds.

Richard loved Detroit Lions and Michigan State! Really did watch all football, basketball and had a heart for golf.
Richard Paul Martin, born on June 29, 1952, in Perry, MI, passed away on August 13, 2024, in Largo, FL. He was a dedicated United States Postal Carrier and cherished his role in the community.
Richard, affectionately known as Rickie and Daddy, was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for soldering and creating beautiful jewelry pieces and found joy in mining for gems while learning about their unique qualities. His love for animals was evident in the way he provided for them, ensuring they had everything they needed, from dogs to various birds.
Nothing brought Richard greater happiness than being with his family. He was a devoted husband to Michelle Martin for 46 wonderful years, and together they raised a loving family. Richard is survived by his children: Jacob Martin, married to Dawn, with grandchildren Katelyn and Cameron; Justine Templeman, married to Chip Templeman, with grandchildren Christian and Leah; Preston Martin, married to Renee, with grandchildren Abigail, Ellie, Jordan, Violet, Amelia, and Zadok; and Spensir Martin.
An avid sports fan, Richard loved cheering for the Detroit Lions and Michigan State, and his passion for football, basketball, and golf was well known among his family and friends. He enjoyed family TV shows like "Coach" and "Home Improvement," creating cherished memories during family time.
Richard had a great sense of humor and an appreciation for good food, relishing a perfectly grilled steak, smoked baby back ribs, and his famous cabbage rolls and million-dollar salad during Christmas.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
