It is with profound sorrow that we announce that Richard Colon, known as Rich or Richie by those who loved him, departed this life and has gone to his heavenly home at the age of 60. Born in New York on November 3, 1964 to Antonio Colon and Maria Isabel Santos, he passed away at the hospital on March 17, 2025 after a long, difficult battle with his health. Predeceased by his mother and father, Rich is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Jennifer Cartee Colon, his cherished children, Alexander and Gabriella Colon, his sisters Alma Mojica and Miriam Lopez, and brothers Antonio Colon II and Pedro Quinones, and a large, loving family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and members of his church, Gray Court Church of God.

In life, Rich was not just the life of the party, he WAS the party. He had a natural charisma that made everyone feel welcomed and always had a funny story or joke to tell, and had a knack for making those around him laugh. He was a dedicated family man, finding the love of his life and making a family and a home with Jennifer, and along with his siblings, was a foundation of the family. His family meant the world to him. Rich was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at Gray Court Church of God, located at 8492 SC-14 Gray Court, SC 29645.
