Enlisted in the Merchant Marines and later in the Navy during World War II
Worked in finance for subsidiaries of Aetna Bearing Company and later owned the Waukegan Yellow Cab Company
Bud's greatest passion was sailing, he raced Sunfish sailboats and crewed on yachts in races
Survived by his wife Ruth of 61 years, children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter
A private memorial will be held at the Waukegan Yacht Club on June 27th
