He loves to race one of his favorite memories. Was the Baja run.. He is to love to hunt Dears with his uncles cousins and family members were some of great memories
He loves steak, but most of all recently he discovered clams and love them so much his favorite memories were going to lure restaurant with his family
He loves so much different type of music from country to soul to rock ‘n’ roll but some of his favorite bands were bread the Eagles Commodores, the Bee Gees and of course, Rod Stewart.
Ray was a union Carpenter for over 45 years in which she meant a lot of friends that were much more like family. He spent many of his years, putting together an excel book that would teach anyone how to build a house from step one to finish. He was rare he got a forty year old pin and at the ripe age 70 he took the contractors license exam and only missed one and stated they were wrong. He was proud of the house he built on Dana drive with his children and wife.
He loved with all his heart his family leaving his legacy behind his Wife Inez His children, Phyllis, John, Susan, Jimmy, and Stephanie. Not to mention his over 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren
He had very fond memories of traveling he loved to go to Yosemite with the kids, Oregon Baja great times in Durango, Colorado and dreams of going to Costa Rica
His favorite TV show course was Star Trek. He loved his sci-fi movies and his books and always loved a good movie that had lots of action in it.
He was always a fan of football, especially College where USC was always his number one pick And of course, the Raiders, even when they were having their bad seasons
His proudest moments was when he got to celebrate his 86 birthday and he got to see all of his family got to take pictures with everyone just one of the most happiest days of his life. He got to see His Grandchildren Michael Kristy, Amber, Kelly, Tatiana, Emma, Garrett, Brian, Maggie, Katie, Nick Lia, Destinee Alexia, Ava, mattisen, Dylan and his many great grand children forever in his heart
Ronaldo Reyes was born and raised in the Limonero here in Santa Paula California where later on his parents would move into actual Santa Paula just right behind 10th St. where he grew up in an alley with his uncles Garcia‘s in which he has fond memories of playing out there on the streets His big tree that he used to play on on the corner of tent and Santa Barbara that was his tree. He would always bring up memories of how him and his uncles would run the city because there was so many of them Nobody messed with the Garcia boys. Later on, he grew up went to Santa Paula High School where he met his beloved wife Inez armas They went on to have their first daughter Phyllis followed by John, Susan James and Stephanie. Where is forever memories of going to Stocco Park for Easter having huge Christmas eve parties making tamales Thanksgiving tons of memories forever will be cherished in our heart.
He was the oldest of Geneva Garcia Reyes and Edward John Reyes he was brother to Valerie Reyes, Diane Reyes, Yolanda Reyes and Della Reyes. He was a proud uncle, too many nieces and nephews a proud godfather to many that he will always remember.
In the mid 70’s Rey coached youth football for the Santa Paula Rams and baseball at Santa Paula little league. He was president of youth football for many years and very involved in the little league.
Love to run the Baja run with his race cars even own time getting stranded out in the desert. He lived life and tons of memories
