Rebecca Darlene Bishop, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the age of 66. She was born on August 10, 1957, in Charlottesville, VA, and had most recently resided in Scottsville, VA.

Rebecca had a zest for life and a passion for many hobbies. She found solace and joy in tending to her beautiful flower gardens, expressing her creativity through arts and crafts, and creating lasting memories while camping with her family and friends. Rebecca had a true love for home-cooked southern foods and seafood, and her culinary skills were appreciated by all who were fortunate enough to taste her delicious dishes.

Rebecca shared her life with her loving husband, David Lee Bishop, and together they built a strong and loving partnership. Their unwavering commitment to each other was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Rebecca's family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in being a mother and a grandmother. She leaves behind her children, Kevin E Marks of Waynesboro, Brandy L Hunt of Charlottesville, Dana L Bishop, and Jason L Bishop, both of Scottsville. Her love and dedication as a mother were evident in the close bond she shared with her children.

Rebecca will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter. Her genuine love for life and her family will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Rebecca's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
