Raymond Donnell Anderson, affectionately known as "Blade," was born on June 12, 1961, in Dallas, TX, and passed away on September 29, 2024, in his hometown. A talented auto mechanic by trade, Raymond was known for his generosity and infectious sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter to all who crossed his path.
Raymond had a passion for sports, particularly cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He found immense pleasure in watching games while indulging in his favorite foods, especially his grandmother's enchiladas and ice cream. His vibrant personality was complemented by his love for flirting with women and sharing moments of laughter, always reminding those around him that life should be enjoyed.
He cherished his family and made the selfless decision to move back to Dallas from San Antonio to care for his aging parents. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Anderson, Sr. and Lottie Cheeves, as well as his son, Kevin McDaniel, who was a charismatic young man and a talented football player. Also preceding him in death were his siblings: Joseph Anderson, Jr., Myrtle McFarland, Lonnie Anderson, and Louise Joseph.
Raymond is survived by his niece, Tamera Joseph, her three sons, TreQuan, Tayshaun, and Jaiden, his nephew, Joseph Anderson III and Joseph's fiancé Nicole Hailes. He will be remembered for his funny anecdotes, his love for classic TV shows like "In the Heat of the Night," "Family Feud," and "Judge Mathis," and his life motto, "Like a MF." Raymond’s legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
