Obituary

We celebrate the life of Raymon E. Heflin, born on September 19th 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He passed away on January 24th 2023 in Mesa, Arizona due to complications from Myasthenia Gravis. He was the beloved son of LeRoy and Marguerite Heflin, who preceded him in death.

Raymon was married to Cheryl Caparella on December 12, 2002. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and his sons Christopher and David; his step daughter Jeanne Angileri; his brothers Roy (Susan), Ronald (Barbara), Randall (Julia), and his sister LeeAnne Howell (Steve) and their families.

Raymon served in the US Coast Guard and was self employed for the past 18 years as a windshield repair technician. His customers were important to him and he enjoyed talking with them about Jesus long past the time it took to do the repair. Raymon also served as Pastor at The Manger in Apache Junction, Arizona where he spread the Gospel and loved people. Working with wood was one of Raymon's passions and he created signs and other wood projects using his CNC machine. His favorite Scripture was Luke 2:49 - "Did you not know I must be about my Father's business?" Raymon lived for sharing Jesus with everyone he met and doing his Father's business.

A military burial will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona on February 15th 2023 at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke, https://www.ninds.nih.gov/, as they conduct research for Myasthenia Gravis, or any charity of your choice that supports spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ or supporting veterans in need.

Raymon will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we are comforted knowing that he is now at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ after suffering complications due to Myasthenia Gravis.
