Randy Wayne Sample of Heppner oregon passed away unexpectedly on May 30th 2024 at his home in Heppner oregon. Randy was born in Nyssa Oregon on December 7th 1948 to Cloyd K Sample and Irena Jane Edison Sample. Randy graduated from Madras Union High School in 1968. Following graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country in Vietnam. After Randy returned home he married Jan Towery of Madras oregon.

Randy is survived by two children Daniel Sample of Bend oregon and Matthew Sample of Madras and one son through marriage Jeremey Towery and several grandchildren, Kailea, Kodi, Rylee, Kaiya, Jamisen and Skyler. Randy is also survived by his older brother Larry Sample, sisters Pamela Phipps and Linda Toms and several nieces and nephews.

Randy lived a life filled with love, strength and laughter that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Randy was a proud marine veteran who served his country with honor and bravery. His dedication to serving others extended beyond his military service as he continued to be a pillar of strength for his family and friends throughout his life. Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, hunting. He enjoyed fly fishing with his sons at Deep creek in the ochoco national forest. He loved watching his grandchildren accomplish their goals and dreams. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace Brother. (Oorah)
