Randy "Scooter" Edmonds, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 56. He was born on November 23, 1967, in Scotland Neck, NC, and had recently resided in his hometown.
Known for his warm smile and vibrant personality, Randy had an infectious zest for life. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, playing spades, and playing horseshoe. When it came to food, Randy had a fondness for pizza, fried chicken, and collard greens. His favorite musical artists included Frankie Beverly and Maze, and he was also a stellar singer.
Above all else, Randy cherished his children and grandchildren. He loved being at home with his daughter, and his family meant the world to him. Randy was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he enjoyed watching TV shows such as Sanford and Son, Silver Spoons, and Different Strokes.
Randy leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He was a cement mason by profession and took pride in his work. His favorite saying, "We're here for a good time, not a long time, so let's live life!", reflected his positive outlook on life.
In addition to his spouse Cassandra Silver, Randy is survived by his daughter Brittany Edmonds, his son Kionte Edmonds, and his cherished grandchildren Thasaya Lynch, Heaven Lynch, Dream Lynch, and Kamalei Edmonds. He also leaves behind his parents Jessie Rene Edmonds and Bobby Edmonds, his sisters Brenda Edmonds and Juanita Kelly, and his brothers Bobby Edmonds and Kennedy Edmonds.
Randy's defining personality traits included ambition, compassion, and a willingness to help others. He was always there when someone needed him, with a smile that could light up the darkest room. Randy had a pure heart of gold and impacted the lives of many through his generosity and kindness.
Outside of his family, Randy was involved in the Carolina Cruisers Motorcycle Club and was a devoted member of Smith Chapel Baptist Church, where he practiced his Christian faith.
During this time of grief, Randy's family asks for your continued support and uplifting thoughts. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched and the lives he enriched.
