Ramon "Mon," "Monching," or "Cheemo" Arkoncel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on August 9, 1942, in the Philippines, he spent his final years in San Mateo County, California.

Ramon was a kind and gentle soul, known for his quiet demeanor and incredible patience. He was a devoted son and a wonderful provider to his family, always prioritizing their needs above his own. He is survived by his loving wife, Rowena Arkoncel, and his cherished children, Sheila and Buddy Arkoncel.

A passionate bowler, Ramon enjoyed participating in tournaments and was proud of his accomplishments on the lanes. He also loved playing chess and darts, enjoying the strategic challenges they presented. His favorite foods included baby back ribs and traditional Filipino dishes, which he delighted in sharing with family and friends.

Ramon had a deep appreciation for sports, particularly football and basketball, and he was known for his easy-going nature that impacted everyone around him. He dedicated a significant part of his career to the freight forwarding industry, retiring from Fritz Company in 2001, where he worked in the Cash Management Department and played a vital role in processing incoming revenue from branches worldwide.

A devoted Catholic, Ramon found solace in his faith, often attending daily mass on EWTN. His legacy of kindness and patience will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a family that will carry forward his spirit of love and generosity.
