Raheem Wright, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 41 in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. He was born on January 22, 1983, in Philadelphia, PA, where he also resided until his passing.
Raheem had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He found great joy in watching anime, playing video games, trying different foods at various restaurants, and indulging in comic books and comic book conventions. He also had a love for traveling and exploring new places.
When it came to food, Raheem had a discerning palate and favored French toast, chocolate cake, chicken wings, pizza, fried fish, and BBQ. He had a deep appreciation for music, with Gorillaz being one of his favorite bands.
Known by the nickname "Rockhead," Raheem was determined and focused. He had a penchant for all things technical and challenging and found fulfillment in completing tasks independently. His dry sense of humor and generosity endeared him to those around him, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Raheem's favorite place in the world was Las Vegas, Nevada, and he also had a fondness for Tokyo, Japan. His favorite TV shows included "From," "Soprano," "They," "Game of Thrones," "Power," "Fargo," "Sons of Anarchy," "Ozark," and "Breaking Bad." In sports, he enjoyed football, tennis, bowling, and baseball.
Professionally, Raheem was a Medical Technologist, and he proudly obtained his master's degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.
Raheem is survived by his mother, Felecita Wright, his sisters, Stacey Wright and Felicia Wright, his niece, Allana Wright-McCutchen, his nephew, Irving Brown, his Aunt Justine Wright, and a host of cousins and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A devout Catholic, Raheem lived by the motto, "I just wanted to call and say you're broke." His caring nature and sense of humor left a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.
In this time of grief, we honor and remember Raheem Wright for his remarkable spirit, his achievements, and the love he shared with his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
