Quentin Derrick Glass was born on December 4, 2003 in Cary. North Carolina to Derrick and Oushanna Glass. He entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2025.
Quentin necepted Christ into his life at a very carly age. Quentin was raised and resided in Durham, North Carolina, where his life was rooted in love, laughter, Camily. Friends and pursuing his interests and dreams.
Quentin attended Bright Horizons Family Solutions at Preston Corners in his cart years. He then attended Durham Public Schools (Sandy Ridge Elementary, Lucas Middle and Northern High School) where he thrived and excelled in academics, concert band and sports. He graduated from Northern High School in Durham, NC in June 2022. After high school Quentin attended Winston Salem State University.
Quentin was a rising senior at Winston Salem State University majoring in Information Technology with a minor in Data Science. Quentin worked in the WSSU IT Help Desk, participated in the WSSU Career Services Ambassador Program and WSSU Career Development Services. Quentin was a member of the WSSU football team during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Quentin joined Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity in the Spring of 2024 (Beta lota chapter).
Quentin completed two cycles with the North Carolina Department of Transportation HBCU Internship Program during the summers of 2024 and
2025 - where he gained exposure to software testing, analytics and application onboarding. Quentin also served as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern at Duke University.
Quentin - affectionately known as "Q" - was loved by many for his kind, respectful, funny and inquisitive nature. He loved to cook, thrift, paint and travel. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working out, listening to music (R&B, Rod Wave) and attending professional sporting events.
Quentin leaves to cherish memories: parents - Derrick and Qushanna Glass, brother - Jared Glass and Azaevion Neal of the home; maternal grandmother - Melba Curmon of New Bern NC, paternal grandfather - W. W. Sherrod (Angela) of Tarboro, NC; aunts - Tabatha Glass of Greenville, NC; Tashanna Curmon of Atlanta, GA, Shaqwan Sherrod of Wendell, NC and Kimberly Sherrod of Raleigh, NC; uncles
- Dashann Curmon and Rashann Curmon of Charlotte, NC and Cyrus Glass of Greenville, NC; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of loving family members and friends. He leaves his beloved French Bulldog - Moses.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Albert Curmon, and Paternal Grandmother Velma Glass
