Promise Simmons was born January 20, 1975 to Melvin and Kathleen Simmons in Compton California. Promise was the 2nd of 12 children. Promise grew up in the church and loved to sing in the choir starting at the age of just five she touched everyone she knew and was so sweet and graceful to everyone. Promise always had a smile on her face no matter what she’s been through. Promise gave birth to her first son Sterling shorter in June 1993 and her second son Sylver shorter in 1995. They were both the love of her life. She dedicated the rest of her life and being a devoted mother, Promise will be greatly missed. She’s proceeded in Deffe by her mother Kathleen Simmons father Melvin Simmons grandmother Pauline Simmons and grandfather Melvin Simmons her aunts Marley and Colleen Simmons. Promise leaves behind her two sons Sterling and Sylver Shorter her 4 sisters Marquita smith, Katina Simmons ,Kolena Simmons , and Kameca Rollins, 8 brother Melvin Simmons,Marvin Simmons, marlin simmons, Marcel Simmons, marcello Simmons, Maurice Simmons , and marquis simmons, and Gary dumas !! Promise will be forever cherished missed in an all our heart!
