Preferred to be in the comfort of her own home, enjoyed her quiet time,
Raising King and Khai was her joy, She nurtured them as if she birthed them. She unselfishly put her life on hold to ensure they were alright. Her Grandson Braycen, as she often referred to as her "1andOnly" was her pride and she was protective over him and always ready to educate about Autism. She would do anything for her boys.
Phyllis loved working with the Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled. Starting this career at United Cerebral Palsy and then Family Service Foundation for many years.
Brandon Maurice C. Simms, Khelsey Renee Carter and her bonus child Kevin Derek Carter. Her beloved Godchildren NyJae White, Darryl Ragland, and Madison Hamilton.

Philip F. Gray Sr., Ambala R. Mayo, Darrin Gray, Theresa Matthew's-Butcher (Deceased), Suzette Leverette, Lynwood Leverette Jr., Myesha Leverette, and Sir Michael Leverette.
Proud moment was traveling to Africa.. she proudly would boast about how she performed at the airport...until they canceled her flight, frightened she cried like a baby. But those siblings of hers were in the states shaking things up to bring her home. And they vowed that she could never go back.
Phyllis attended Northwestern High School and Forest Park Sr. High School, Ron Thomas School of Cosmetology and Maryland Nursing School for CNA/GNA.

Anditria A. Williams (DeeDee) her best friend and like her sister. Dee was always there when she needed her even with caring for King and Khai. They always spoke on the phone and would laugh for hours. I know Dee Dee will miss her because who else can she call to break up with her men. Deedee kept her in trouble.
