Obituary

Phyllis French Gage, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2025, in Easton, MA, at the age of 88. Born on June 20, 1936, in Boston, MA, Phyllis was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.

Phyllis, affectionately known as "Nini," was a remarkable woman who thrived in the company of her loved ones. She cherished her role as a mother to her three children: Robyn DiPietrantonio, Heather Gage-West, and Keith R. Gage. Her legacy lives on through her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom she adored and inspired with her selfless love and infectious laughter.

An accomplished administrative assistant, Phyllis was not only diligent in her professional life but also a Scrabble pro, often challenging her friends and family to games filled with fun and laughter. Her hobbies included reading, shopping, and enjoying leisurely lunches with friends, all of which reflected her fun-loving and humorous personality.

Phyllis had a sweet tooth, and her love for desserts was well known among her family and friends. She found her favorite retreat at Newfound Lake and the Cape, where she created countless cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Gage, who passed away on February 24, 2004. Phyllis's warmth, kindness, and ability to put others first will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family takes comfort in the love and joy she brought into their lives, and her memory will forever remain a source of inspiration.
