Obituary

Philip Burd, 28, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne.

Phil was born July 31, 1997 in Fort Wayne, IN to Thomas and Cynthia Burd.

Philip was a proud member of his high schools band where he played trumpet. As an adult he spent several years working as a roofer for Morkin Roofing and CMS before joining the sheet metal local 20 union. On May 1, 2025 Phil and Kat were wed and held their large ceremony the following September. They shared three beautiful daughters together aged 7,3 and 1.

When he wasn’t working he was playing with his children, going to see his favorite bands, building or crafting things in the garage, or playing retro video games. He could always be found with a glass of milk or a cold Pepsi. Phil had a joke for every occasion and wore the brightest smile with the world’s best laugh. He treated every person he met with so much compassion and loved so fiercely.

In death he continued that selflessness and donated his organs and tissues to help save the lives of others.

Phil is survived by his wife Kat(Weachock) and three daughters; Marceline, Magnolia, and Clementine, his mother Cindy and siblings; Deb, Becky and Mike.

He was preceded in death by his father (Thomas), brother (John),grandmother (Nancy), and daughter(Primrose).
