Petronella (Ellie) Francisca Maria Graham

July 8, 1955 – April 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Petronella (Ellie) Francisca Maria Graham on April 7, 2025, at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, surrounded by the love of her daughters and their husbands.

Born at home in Lieshout, North Brabant, Holland, on July 8, 1955, Ellie was the second youngest of ten siblings. On May 23, 1960, she immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings, first settling in Petawawa for three years before making their home in Oshawa in 1963.

Ellie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Jim Graham, on January 15, 2021. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Ellie is lovingly remembered by her daughters Pamela Gushue (Dan) and Jaclyn Ramcharan (Navin), and her cherished grandchildren: Colton, Alvin, Caleb, Shivani, Dylan, Laken, and Scarlett.

She is also predeceased by her siblings Pete (Cathy), Tony (Cathy), and Siska, and is survived by Leo (Rose), Dora (Roy), Hank, John (Rose), Chris (Antoinette), and Ria (Doug).

Ellie spent most of her life in Courtice and Bowmanville, and after retiring from a fulfilling 35-year career with CIBC, she and Jim moved to Bancroft to enjoy lake life—something Ellie adored. Whether she was swimming (she swore she had gills), spending time with her grandchildren, or hula-hooping with a grin, Ellie radiated joy. Her warm smile could light up any room, and her compassion and kindness touched everyone she met.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Ellie’s life will be held at Oshawa Navy club 320 Viola Avenue L1H3A8 on July 12th 2025 from 1pm - 5pm donations can be made to Oak Ridges Hospice in her memory.
