Peter Kellmann, known to many as Big Pete or Pete the Millwright, passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on May 30, 1963, in Hamilton, ON, Canada, where he spent most of his life.

Peter was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. His favorite hobbies included golfing, fishing, and camping, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors. He was particularly fond of spending time up north at the trailer with his family, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

In addition to his love for outdoor activities, Peter had a passion for sports, especially golf and hockey. He enjoyed watching games and cheering for his favorite teams. Throughout his life, he worked as a skilled millwright and was proud to have retired from ArcelorMittal Dofasco.

Above all else, Peter's greatest love was for his grandchildren. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with them and witnessing their growth. He was known for his warm-hearted nature and his ability to bring smiles to their faces with his playful antics and unwavering love.

Peter leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a strong sense of family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24th, from 2pm to 4pm, at The Royal Canadian Legion located at 1180 Barton St., Hamilton. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to honor Peter's life, share memories, and find solace in each other's company.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of choice in Peter's memory.
