Percy Palmer, born on September 5, 1940, in Jackson, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024, in Gary, Indiana. Known affectionately as Percy, he was a dedicated crane operator whose work ethic and skills were respected by all who knew him.
Percy was a loving husband to his wife, Willie Mae Palmer, and took immense pride in raising his three daughters: Janice Turner, Synthia Palmer, and Rosemary Palmer. He often shared his life motto, “Come get you some food,” reflecting his warm and inviting nature. Percy was a caring, loving, and supportive figure in his family’s life.
He is survived by his daughters and siblings, Dorothea Palmer and Alfred Palmer. Percy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who cherished him, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family.
