Penny Lee Bennett, born on November 9, 1962, and a lifelong resident of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by her loving family. She retired from Lockheed Martin after 42 years of employment.

Penny’s remarkable strength and loving kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Charlane Rickhoff. She is survived by her husband, Alan; her beloved sister, Barbara; her two amazing sons, Jeremy VanHooser and Jacob Bennett; and the light of her life, her granddaughter, Molly Bennett.

A selfless mother and an extraordinary grandmother, Penny dedicated her life to her family. Her sweet and nurturing nature made her an incredible party host, always ensuring everyone felt welcomed, loved, and left full. Whether it was the dinner she made on Sunday or cheering on the Broncos, even in the bad seasons, she consistently provided unwavering support to those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will continue to inspire all who knew her, forever remaining in our hearts.

A memorial service to honor Penny will be held at the War Memorial Rose Garden, located at 5804 S Bemis St, Littleton, CO 80120, on June 28th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for one of Penny’s famous parties at their home, 4592 S Gar Way, Denver, CO 80123, to continue sharing memories and celebrating Penny's beautiful life. Your presence will be a cherished tribute.
