Pedro Rivero, affectionately known as Pipo, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on January 2, 1931, in Havana, Cuba, Pedro's journey brought him to Manhattan, New York, where he resided until his passing.
Pedro was a devoted husband, being married to his beloved wife, Carmen Rivero, for an extraordinary 75 years. Their union was a testament to their enduring love and commitment.
Family was of utmost importance to Pedro, and he was a cherished father to Maritza Arroyo and spouse Marcos Arroyo, Olga Mayens and spouse Edwin Mayens, and Antonio Rivero. Pedro's grandparenting role brought him immense joy, and he was adored by his grandchildren, Lourdes Arroyo, Marcus Arroyo and spouse Amanda Arroyo,Christina Cisneros and spouse Renzo Cisneros. Pedro's great-grandchildren, Andres De Leon, Sophia and Gabriella Arroyo, and Alessio Cisneros, brought him additional delight and pride.
Pedro will forever be remembered for his loving nature and kindheartedness. He consistently put others before himself, embodying selflessness in all aspects of his life. His warm personality and caring demeanor touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know him.
Pedro's presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will be cherished and celebrated. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
