Paula Lynn Maddaloni (Greene), born on September 18, 1964, in Windham, CT, passed away on January 30, 2025, in Hampton, CT. Known affectionately as "Gramma," Paula brought warmth and love to all who knew her. She was the dedicated mother of Jennifer Welker, Joseph Galipeau, and Vanessa Maddaloni, as well as a proud grandmother to her six grandchildren: Johana, Julia "Jay," Giovanni, Ariana, Issac, and Judah.
Paula was predeceased by her cherished husband, James J. Maddaloni, with whom she shared over 30 years of marriage. Together, they traveled to her favorite place, Daytona Beach, where they made lasting memories. A devoted advocate for her son, Joseph, Paula fought tirelessly for his special needs services and was one of the first individuals in Connecticut to secure a grant to keep him at home.
In her free time, Paula took joy in keeping her kitchen clean, especially after making Thanksgiving dinner or baking cookies. She had a love for music, often reminiscing about her years spent at Maxcreek and Grateful Dead shows. A fan of Game of Thrones and figure skating, she enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and friends, including her many adopted sons and sons-in-law: Randy, Dan, Jason, Victor, Ty, and “her hero”, Haisan. Not to mention her favorite brother Gary.
Paula’s spirit was sassy, and her favorite saying, “Oh mother of baldness,” reflected her unique sense of humor. She served as the president of Swift Water Artisan’s Coop, leaving a mark on her community. Paula will be deeply missed by close friends, including Warren, Sandy, Cousin Jay and by all who were fortunate enough to know her loving and generous spirit.
We'll plant real trees for you in Paula's memory and display your contribution forever.
