Reading Jane Austen books, crafting cards for all occasions, attending musicals and baseball games, going to the movies.
Paula loved Rosa’s Mexican Food. This was her favorite restaurant. Especially their salsa.
Paula loved Chris Botti and Harry Connick, Jr. She saw them many times in concert. She also loved John Mayer and Panic! At the Disco.
Paula loved attending Broadway musicals and was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan. She was blessed to have enjoyed their world series win before passing.
Her students were everything to her. She loved being their teacher and sometimes their counselor.

The Chicago shows on NBC, The FBI shows on CBS, anything Masterpiece Theater on PBS. She also took comfort in watching the Food Network.
Paula loved baseball above all other sports. She has been a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan since 1978.
Paula received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
Paula June Stoner, born on May 31, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. A dedicated educator, Paula devoted 29 years of her life to teaching, instilling a passion for reading in countless students. She was particularly proud of her ability to inspire even those who initially struggled with reading.
Paula was a vibrant personality with many interests. A lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, she cherished the thrill of their World Series win before her passing. She also had a deep love for the arts, frequently attending Broadway musicals that brought her immense joy.
Paula is survived by her father and stepmother, Paul and Elizabeth Stoner; sisters Carol Stoner and Debbie Rich; brothers Dallas Stoner and Aaron Stoner; and stepsisters Tina Young McDevitt and Megan Sharon Fortney, along with stepbrothers TJ Young and Scott Young. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda June Huddleston, and her brother, Robert W. Fussell.
Paula's commitment to her students and her unwavering spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love for reading and her infectious enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
