Paula Ilene Stanley, beloved mother, grandmother, and partner, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on June 5, 1946, in Emporia, Kansas, to Nancy and Milton Stanley.
Paula spent most of her younger life in Emporia where she met her life partner, Lance Lee Riley. They eventually moved to a short drive away to Topeka, Kansas where they would spend most of their lives raising children and watching them grow up and move out of the house. Once all the kids were grown they decided to retire in Independence, Missouri with other family where she recently resided. She was a proud produce manager at Dillons, dedicating her career to providing quality service to her customers.
Paula's favorite hobbies included playing with her grandchildren, cooking delicious meals, and indulging in Lifetime television shows. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren's games and concerts. Paula was the type of lady who would be heard cheering louder than anyone else in the crowd.
She is survived by her children, Chris, Melissa, and Brian, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Paula's impact on the lives of others was undeniable, always sparking a smile with her snappy comebacks and infectious laughter. Her loud and loving personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Paula's memory to be made to a local charity of your choice.
