To make others laugh
Paul Joshua Goodrich, known to many as Josh, was born on October 27, 1979, in Provo, Utah. He passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2024, in Roosevelt, Utah, where he had made his home in recent years. Josh was a beloved husband to Stacie Goodrich and a devoted father to his 17-year-old son, Gavin.
A talented chef, Josh was known for his exceptional cooking skills and his ability to bring joy to those around him through food. His love for history, comic books, and reading mirrored his passion for life, while his favorite pastime of fishing offered him moments of serenity. Josh had an incredible talent for making others laugh, and his sense of humor was a defining trait that endeared him to all who knew him.
Josh was also musically inclined, enjoying the sounds of Sublime, Elton John, Counting Crows, and R.E.M., which provided a soundtrack to his life filled with laughter and love. He was kind, loving, gentle, and compassionate; qualities that made him not just a cherished family member, but also a protector and a guiding light to many.
He is survived by his son, Gavin; his parents, Paul and Shawnna; his sister, Rachel; his brother, Kaleb; his grandfather, Wayne; his grandmother, Connie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Josh's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, particularly through his work with troubled teens and individuals with disabilities. His kindness and loving presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
We'll plant real trees for you in Paul's memory and display your contribution forever.
