Throughout his life, Paul Grant was referred to in many ways. He was a son and a brother. He would go on to become a professional engineer and, in the words of his co-workers, and “enlightened” manager and leader. He would become a husband and a father and a grandfather, and it’s reasonable to say he considered himself a follower of the teachings of Christ.
Through the years, Paul enjoyed fishing with his brother and sons, cooking for his family, and making friends wherever he went. Paul was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around him.
Paul was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life. Paul’s antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He was a sneakerhead and an aficionado of collectibles. Whatever he set his mind to he was determined to get done. He was the self-proclaimed “world’s greatest brick mason” and his handiwork can be seen throughout the Tidewater area.
“We lost a special one with Paul , he saw the magic in all things and was able to put words to it. His warm demeanor was infectious and his laugh, a comfort to the ears drop has rejoined the ocean, our dear traveler has returned home.”
Funeral services will be held at the CYPRESS HILLS Cemetery at 2:00pm on june 13, 2023, with interment immediately following.
We'll plant real trees for you in Paul's memory and display your contribution forever.
