Pat was a loyal Red Cross blood donor. Being 0-negative, which is an important & valuable blood group since it is "the Universal donor." Pat was consistent with his donations. During his lifetime he donated 205 units (25 gals). Which he was very proud of, but if you know Pat he did not brag about. He did it because he could and should.
Pat was very interested in the Sand Hill Cranes when they visited Nebraska. He would go watch them as they as they paused in Nebraska along their migration route.
Pat was an avid sports fan. Followed MLB Baseball, Mickey Mantle being one of his favorite players. Attended many CWS Tournament games. Being a Nebraskan he watched Husker Football and Volleyball. A fan of Creighton University he cheered for their Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball teams. Was able to see many games in person. He also loved to follow his niece's and nephew's sports teams. Went to their games as often as he could.
Pat held several positions during his career. He worked as a roofer, worked for Husker/Hawkeye distribution, Sears & Roebuck and Brewer Korisko Funeral Home as an all-around-do-it-all employee. He retired as an USPS Mail Carrier. He was a member of the USPS Million Mile Club. An honor awarded to Postal Carriers that have 30 yrs of service without a preventable accident. An elite recognition by the National Safety Council.
