Patrick Michael McDermott, passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 62. He was born on November 13, 1961, in Antioch, IL. Patrick most recently resided in Las Vegas, NV.

Pat loved to play golf and spent countless days on the green, perfecting his swing or overturning a golf cart. Metallica was his all-time favorite band, his daughter would fall asleep under the kitchen table to his music. He would bring his daughter to rock concerts, Van Halen and Godsmack among them. His love for sports was unparalleled, with Football (Bears/Notre Dam), Baseball (Cubs), Hockey (Blackhawks/Golden Knights), and Basketball (Celtics/Bulls) being among his favorites. He played hockey when he was younger in Illinois. He was a huge supporter of the Chicago Bears and Cubs and cheered passionately for his teams. When the Cubs won the world series, he literally cried tears of joy.

He was a kind and genuine person that didn't fake anything. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He won his share of bar fights and lost a few too, but loved every minute of it.

Above all else, Patrick cherished his family. He cared for his mother, until her last days. His daughter, Crystal, and his grandchildren, Jase and Jacqueline, held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by two brothers, Duane and Kevin, who shared many fond memories with him.

Patrick will be remembered for his genuine and kind nature. He touched the lives of many through his warmth and caring disposition. His Catholic faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout his life.

In memory of Patrick Michael McDermott, a private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and honor the love and joy he brought to those around him. Details to follow. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
