As the golden gates of Heaven swung open, a bright light shone through, illuminating a figure with a mic in one hand and a smirk that could charm even the grumpiest of saints. Patrick stepped forward, adjusting his jacket.
“So this is heaven, huh? No cover charge? No two-drink minimum? I think I’m gonna like it here!”
Saint Peter chuckled, flipping through his celestial ledger. “We don’t get many stand-ups up here like you.”
Intrigued Saint Peter watched the arrogant comedian strut onto the stage, smirking as if the audience was lucky just to be in his presence.
“Well, that’s about to change,” Patrick declared, tapping the mic. “I came to storm heaven with laughter. You got a stage? A spotlight? Maybe a cloud with good acoustics?”
A chorus of angels giggled, while a few old souls in the back nudged each other whispering "Heaven, after all, could always use a little more joy." Even God himself leaned in, curious.
Saint Peter hesitated then grinned. “Alright, kid. You’ve got one shot. Make ‘em laugh, but keep it clean.”
Patrick took a deep breath, stepped forward, and with a twinkle in his eye, began his set—ready to shake the heavens with laughter.
He asked St. Peter, "So, what’s the Wi-Fi password?" Pausing for a second he laughed and said, "Oh, we don’t need Wi-Fi here—our connection’s always strong!"
For a moment, silence lingers in the heavens, and then laughter erupts like a melody, ringing through the clouds like the soft chime of silver bells.
Next Patrick looks around with a sly grin and says, "My friends call me Hustle Man." Then, turning to Saint Peter, he asks, "So, is everything free up here?" Saint Peter chuckles, "Nice try, but the only thing you're stacking is blessings."
Patrick nods, rubbing his chin. "Alright... But if I start a 'Miracles on Demand' business, you in?" He pauses for a moment, then smirks. "Free, huh? But I can still flip a halo for two harps and a cloud."
At that, the angels burst into laughter, their eyes twinkling like stars. Their warm, airy Joy ripple through the heavens, making the very sky glow a little brighter. Even their halos flicker playful, as if amuse themself. God chuckles warmly, his voice like a gentle thunder, and says, "Now that's a good one!" As he and Saint Peter smiles, the heavens shimmer, and the angels laugh even more, their joy echoing through eternity.
With deep gratitude, Patrick bows gracefully, acknowledging the onlookers for their generous applause. Then, suddenly, a powerful sound echoed even louder through the heavens as Patrick humbly cried out, "God, I finally made it!"
