Loved crafts needle point making things with her hands. Worked on Geneology of all four branch of her family for 50 years. Collected plush teddy bears. Collected stamps and post cards for 40 years. Patricia lovf to read and cook.
Favorite foods spaghetti and tacos. Through the years she enjoyed gardening and canning.
She loved to go for a walk listening to music from 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, in the country and pick wild flowers.
Patricia Lynn Bacon Hill was born on February 5, 1957, in Redfield, SD. Most recently, she resided in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Known affectionately as Patti among her family and friends, she was a creative soul who poured her heart into her many hobbies. Patricia loved crafts, particularly needlepoint, and spent over 50 years delving into her family's genealogy across all four branches. She had a special fondness for collecting plush teddy bears, stamps, and postcards, pursuits she cherished for four decades.
An avid reader and enthusiastic cook, Patricia had a particular love for spaghetti and tacos. Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening and canning, creating an environment full of flavor and color. She found joy in walking outdoors, listening to music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, as she picked wildflowers along the way.
Professionally, Patricia dedicated 21 years to working with developmentally disabled individuals, followed by three years supporting teens struggling with addiction. She also spent 15 years working for credit card companies. Among her proudest accomplishments were the births and graduations of her children, Timothy James Bacon and Teah Shalea Hill Armour, as well as celebrating her son Tim's retirement. She admired her children deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
Patricia was married twice, first to Dennis Roy Meyer for three years and then to Howell Thad Hill for 36 years. Since February 23, 2016, she lived with David Havenhand, who became an integral part of her life. She embraced David's three children—Eric Samuel Iler, David Hoefs Iler, and Samantha Lynn Thompson—as her own, welcoming them into her heart.
She is survived by signifiant other David Havenhand Iler, her sister Beverly Ann Vance Whitley of Redfield, SD, and her brother Dean Allen Bacon Sr. of Sioux Falls, SD alongside numerous nieces, nephews, five granddaughters, five grandsons, and one great-grandson. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert (Lefty) Franklyn Bacon and Lorraine Millie Stern Bacon, as well as her siblings and several family members. Her legacy of love, creativity, and compassion will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
