Born on March 16, 1951 to William and Mary Ann (Capley) Shaw in Birmingham, AL. She was raised in a military family and spent her growing up years in Tennessee, Germany, Florida, and lastly San Antonio, Texas, where she met her future husband at Kelly Air Force base.

Patti was a bubbly, funny woman, with an infectious laugh, generous with her time and money. She was beautiful inside and out with a heart of gold. She happily stayed home to raise her daughter. She was the room Mom for every grade in elementary school, a girl scout leader, and a second mother and confidant to many of her daughters friends growing up.

Obituario

Patricia Ann Stark, 71, of Olathe, passed away on February 18, 2023 at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital of Kansas City.

She was born to William and Mary Ann (Capley) Shaw in Birmingham, AL. She was raised in a military family and spent her growing up years in Tennessee, Germany, Florida, and lastly San Antonio, Texas, where she met her future husband at Kelly air force base, when he broke up a fight between two of the guys in his barracks that both wanted to date her.

On October 14th, 1969 she married Paul H. Stark. They lived in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1970. When their only child was born, they moved to Spring Hill, Kansas, in 1972, and in 1977 they moved to Olathe and resided in the same home for the past 46 years.

Being a grandparent gave her such joy, and she loved to spoil her grandchildren and brag about them at every opportunity. Game nights with her grandchildren were a highlight of her visits, and filled the house with laughter. She was a loyal, die hard Chiefs fan, an animal lover, a lifelong Elvis fan, and an avid reader in her spare time.

Mrs. Stark is survived by her loving husband, Paul, her daughter Paula Brunellie, son in law Jerome Brunellie, grandchildren Amanda Pulliam, Calvin Pulliam, Ryan Brunellie, Emma Brunellie, Michael Herman, her great granddaughters Scarlett Fae Pulliam, and Celeste Everly Herman, and another great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her biological father William Earl Shaw, her Dad, Chief Master Sargent Dudley Mandeville Noling, mother, Mary Ann Noling, and her loving in-laws, Paul and Anna Margie (Walters) Stark.

Private services will be held graveside, burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL on March 16, 2023. Please bring a yellow rose to celebrate her 72nd birthday, as they were her favorite.

Memorials are suggested to The Humane Society, and The American Cancer Foundation.
