Pamela Sue Godin, 77, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 3, 1948. She grew up in Troy, MI, where she spent her early years before eventually making her home in Jasper.
In 1966, Pamela married the love of her life, Alan Godin. Their partnership was the foundation of her world, and together they built a loving home filled with warmth, laughter and support. Their love grew even stronger with the addition of their daughters, Tracy Green (husband Jerry) and Dawn Nold (husband Joe), who became the joy and pride of Pamela’s life.
She will be deeply missed by her loved ones, especially her grandchildren—Carisa, Chad, Shea, Skyler, and Starr—who each held a special place in her heart.
One of the greatest sources of happiness in Pamela’s later years was her great-grandchildren (Brantley, Harper, Sterling and Levi) They brought her endless joy, laughter, and light, and she adored every moment spent with them.
Pamela and Alan also cherished their time at their second home in Florida—a place that brought them sunshine, peace, and a welcoming community. There, they formed many meaningful relationships and lifelong friendships that enriched their lives.
Creativity was woven throughout Pamela’s life. She had a lifelong love of crafting and, in recent years, developed a special passion for coloring and diamond art. She poured her heart and care into every piece she created, gifting them to her family—beautiful keepsakes that will forever remind them of her love, talent, and the warmth she brought to every moment.
Christmas was Pamela’s favorite time of year. She absolutely loved decorating her home and creating a magical, festive atmosphere. Just this week, she shared with pride and joy that at one time she had eleven Christmas trees—each one a reflection of her creativity, her spirit, and her love for celebrating with family.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan, whose memory she carried with her every day; her parents, Harold and Rhoda Auten; and her sister, Suzanne Martinez.
She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the gentle, steadfast love she offered to those around her. Her warm presence brought comfort wherever she went, and the legacy of her compassion and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family has chosen not to hold a service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society are appreciated in her memory.
