Pamela Ann Lang, lovingly known as Pam, passed away on July 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer and congestive heart failure. She was born on September 1, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, and most recently resided in Webster, Texas.

Pamela had a zest for life, and she lived it on her own terms, embodying the spirit of a free-spirited soul. Throughout her life, she pursued various professions and experiences that showcased her adventurous nature. Pam made history as the first woman ever in radio sales in Kansas City. She also worked as a blackjack dealer at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas during the early 1970s. In addition, she had her own beauty salon called Gandalf's in Beaumont, Texas, during the 1980s.

Pamela's favorite hobbies included spending quality time with her daughters and indulging in her passion for cooking. She had a particular fondness for Benihana's, a place where she delighted in savoring delectable meals. Her love for music was reflected in her admiration for bands and artists such as Leon Russell, LeeAnn Barton, and ZZ Top. She excelled in billiards and bowling.

Pam is survived by her two daughters, Tanya Schmidt of San Leon, Texas, and Daina McGee of Webster, Texas. She will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren, Natasha Hodges of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jalen McKee of San Antonio, Texas, Nicholas McGee and Matilyn McGee, both of Webster, Texas, Karly Schmidt of Seabrook, Texas, and her great-grandson, Noah Alexis Balbontin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Pamela will be remembered for her wit, as she had a wicked sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. She often marched to the beat of her own drum, mirroring the sentiment of the song "I did it my way." Among her favorite quotes were "sometimes all you have to do is be willing," "life is not fair," and "you have to be smarter than what you're working with."

In her journey through love, Pamela had eight ex-husbands and a few ex-boyfriends, showcasing her deep appreciation for affection and connection. She cherished the bond she had with her sister; l Linda Kay Lang, living across the street from each other on Lake o' the Pines near Longview, Texas, until her sister's passing in 2018. They were not only sisters but also best friends.

Pamela's impact on the lives of others, especially her loved ones, cannot be overstated. Her determination, adventurous spirit, and loving nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her.

In honor of Pamela's memory, her family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Judes, a cause close to her heart.
