It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ora Mae Stancill, who departed this life at the age of 68, after a life fully lived. Known affectionately by many as Granny, Meme, and Smoochie, Ora Mae was a woman of extraordinary spirit, a loving wife, and an inspiring presence to all who knew her.

Ora Mae dedicated 12 years of her life to serving our country as an army nurse, a testament to her compassion and strength. Following her military service, she embarked on a remarkable 25-year career as a truck driver, showcasing her independent and adventurous nature.

She was married to the love of her life, Ronald Stancill II, for 28 cherished years. Ora Mae was unforgettable, with her vivacious spirit often punctuated by her wonderfully "corkiest" laugh and her stunning red hair. She lived by her powerful motto, "Don't let life grab you by the balls, you grab life by the balls," a philosophy she embodied in every aspect of her journey.

One of her proudest achievements was raising a powerful and successful granddaughter. Ora Mae was also a firm believer in Jesus and demonstrated her boundless generosity through monthly contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, helping countless children in need.
