Opal Elaine Bragg, lovingly known as Memaw, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on November 1, 1936, in Fort Myers, FL, to the late Douglas Preston Watson and Mildred Thelma Smith.

Opal resided in Panama City, FL, where she spent her days pursuing her favorite hobbies. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her garden, finding solace in the beauty of nature. Bird watching brought her great joy, and she found peace in observing the winged creatures that graced her backyard. Opal also had a deep love for reading her bible, finding comfort and inspiration through its words. Additionally, she enjoyed sewing and was known for her skill in creating pillows and stuffed animals, which she generously donated to charity.

Not only was Opal dedicated to her hobbies, but she also had a notable professional career. For over 30 years, she served as a Weather Watcher for Channel 13 News and Weather, providing valuable insights to the community.

Opal will be remembered for her kind and generous nature. She was a faithful and loving individual, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her family and friends cherished her presence and the warmth she exuded.
